Do you golf? Do you know how many words golf has in common with dogs? Think about it. There’s dogleg, heel, pitch and run, takeaway, gimme, hole, playing through, bite, chop, short game, waggle, bent grass, gross, whiff, and my favorite ― ball retriever.
So it just makes sense that the PuppyUp Foundation would want to have their very own, first annual ‘Puppy Up and Putt It In’ golf tournament. We’re holding it this August 27th at the beautiful TPC Canyons Course in San Antonio, Texas. The proceeds from the event go to fund comparative oncology research, education, and awareness about cancer in dogs. Scratch it on your calendar and come out and play 18 with us.

We’d like to recognize our Cancer Heroes for the PuppyUp Golf Tournament:
Luke Baca is 6 years old and is still in treatment as part of a clinical trial for neuroblastoma. His parents, Jason and Janel, are pleased to report that he’s full of energy and life.
Angel Valle Roberts, whose parents are Thomas and Maritza, tell us their 12 year old was treated for osteosarcoma in his leg and is now done with therapy. Angel too is doing well.
Congratulations to these great kids. We thank you and your parents for your strength and courage and wish you well.
And we remember Dexter, our Canine Cancer Hero, who just recently passed away from hemangiosarcoma. Our sincere condolences go out to his person, Tyler Nasise.
All of you inspire us and give us hope. Thank you for being our Heroes.
